I visited Tree Tops Park, Snyder Park and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Int’l Airport today and came away with the following bird images:
The weather was great this afternoon so I stopped by Tree Tops Park for a short while. While I was there, I saw a Catbird, a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Palm Warblers, Yellow-rumped Warbler and I heard woodpeckers and a few other birds. Here are two of the better photos from today.
I stopped by Tree Tops Park for about 30 minutes this afternoon. It was relatively quiet and after 15 minutes I had only a Red-bellied Woodpecker to thank for posing for the camera. However on my way out of the park close to the entrance I spotted a Limpkin and got some close shots from by car. Here are images of the Woodpecker and Limpkin.
Shooting birds in flight requires patience and good technique. It also helps when the subject is big like this Great Egret. Fortunately my Canon 7D has high speed shooting up to 7fps and autofocus traacking for moving subjects.
